Biography
Ashley Norton was born and raised in Southern Illinois,graduating from Johnston City High School in 2010. Ashley then attended Southern Illinois University – Carbondale where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree in 2013 and a Master of Accountancy degree in 2016. She successfully passed the CPA exam in 2023.
Ashley began her career at Kemper CPA Group LLP in January 2016 as a tax intern in the Harrisburg, IL office and transitioned to a full-time staff accountant position in that office later that year. In 2020, Ashley transferred to the Marion, IL office.
During her time at Kemper, Ashley has worked on many aspects of a full-service accounting firm including audit, compilation and review, income tax, payroll, bookkeeping, and consulting. She also maintains positive relationships with her clients. Currently, her primary areas of focus are governmental and nonprofit audits and business income taxation.
She volunteers for numerous organizations, including a board member for the Greater Marion Area Chamber of Commerce and auditor for Miss Illinois Scholarship Organization.
