Jolene graduated from Eastern Illinois University (EIU) in 1990. After marrying her college sweetheart, Rick, she relocated from Naperville, Illinois, to Evansville, Indiana, and then to Marion, Illinois where her husband was raised. Her ideal job involved working with the public. She envisioned sales but wasn’t sure on the market specialty. After attending a job fair, she found herself working for a local insurance agency. Within a short period of time, she had her life license and was meeting with clients to discuss annuities. Shortly thereafter, Jolene was introduced and hired by an investment advisor and started learning the foundation of financial planning that included insurance and investing. As she worked on the operations side, she wanted to expand her dealings with the public and obtained additional licenses. With the birth of her second son in 1999, she soon realized that her responsibilities warranted a less demanding role, and she spent the next five years working with a local firm focusing on group and individual health. However, as the health insurance arena changed throughout the next few years, she felt the need to get back to planning. In 2005, Jolene was hired by a CPA/Investment Advisor as the lead financial services assistant. It was a great opportunity and a large steppingstone to creating her own planning style – one that would allow her to work more with portfolio design, insurance sales, operations, compliance, and client servicing. Soon thereafter, the firm merged with Kemper Capital Management.
After 25 years of marriage and two grown children, her career has come full circle. She covers the Southern Illinois/Kentucky clientele working diligently as an Investment Advisor. She aims to provide sound financial solutions in a non-complicated manner.
