Biography
Michelle joined the firm in 2005 and gained experience in various areas, including accounting, tax, and medical billing. She now manages the medical billing staff and works directly with clients to assist with their practice management needs. Michelle has detailed knowledge in revenue cycle management, managing the appeals process, EDI transactions, quality/value-based services reporting, analyzing payer contracts, credentialing, coding, and quality control review. She also has assisted clients by working directly at their offices, which has given her added insight as to what takes place in a busy medical office.
In 2002, Michelle graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM). She went on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from UTM, graduating in 2003. Michelle was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Theta Kappa, and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies. In 2008, she passed the Certified Professional Coder examination. She has actively participated in various leadership positions throughout various professional associations and her community. In 2012, Kemper awarded Michelle the Richard J. Roth Leadership Award for exceptional leadership among peers, civic and office involvement, and technical achievements.
