Dylan was born and raised in Mattoon. He graduated from Mattoon High School in 2008 and attended Eastern Illinois University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 2012 and his Master of Business Administration degree with focus in accountancy in 2013.
After graduation, Dylan began his accounting career as a cost accountant for a large manufacturing company. In this role, he primarily prepared detailed analytical reports related to evaluating production line efficiencies and quantifying related costs. In January of 2014, he began his public accounting career with a mid-size accounting firm. During his time with this firm, he obtained his CPA license and gained valuable experience in public accounting client services including audit, income tax, payroll, and bookkeeping, as well as managing client relationships.
In 2019, Dylan accepted a manager position with Kemper CPA Group’s Mattoon office. He has worked on nearly all facets of a full-service accounting firm including audit, compilation and review, income tax, payroll tax, and general business consulting. His primary areas of focus are governmental audits and business and trust income taxation. Dylan enjoys having the ability to assist business owners and clients in understanding and simplifying their accounting-related issues and formulating strategies to help them achieve their long-term goals. Dylan completed the Faurote Group Leadership program in 2021 and served on the Employee Advocacy Group from 2021 to 2023.
