Biography

Loni R. Trimble graduated from McKendree College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration while double-majoring in accounting and economics/finance. She began her public accounting career with a regional firm in St. Louis after completing three internships with them. Wanting to return closer to home, she took a position with a local firm in Decatur for a short time before working at Clifton Gunderson in Champaign. At all three firms, Loni participated in transitioning the office to paperless environments.

Loni began her career at Kemper CPA Group LLP in January of 2018, returning to public accounting after an 8-year stint in private industry. Loni works extensively with tax preparation and consultation for individuals and businesses, specializing in industries such as agriculture, restaurants, retail, and real estate. She also provides QuickBooks consulting to clients.

During her time in the Champaign office, Loni participated in the 1040 Standardization Committee, embracing the firmwide initiative by facilitating training for Pfx Scan and CCH Autoflow. She continues to evaluate office-wide procedures and offers suggestions to increase efficiency and capacity for all staff. Loni has been active with recruiting efforts, becoming the point person for the annual internship program. She serves as a mentor to newer staff and encourages professional development at all levels. She also enjoys promoting Kemper services through various marketing avenues.

Loni is very active in her community.  Loni serves as Treasurer for her church.  She is a member of the Champaign Rotary Club and serves on the fellowship committee.  Loni also volunteers to judge the annual Section 17 FFA Public Speaking contest.
