Ronald J. Dezelan, CPA, has extensive experience in public accounting in the areas of management services, employee benefits, estate planning, tax and accounting for major clients in construction, wholesale food distribution, and multi-location facilities serving the mental or physically handicapped. His tax experience includes an in-depth understanding of IRS issues involving unreasonable or excess compensation of closely held business owners. In providing tax planning services, Ron has assisted his executive clients in decision making regarding stock options (qualified and non-qualified), and qualified plan distributions in retirement planning. His clients have engaged him in numerous consulting engagements that concentrate on improving bottom line profits through systems, structure and organization.
Ron received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Indiana University in 1976. After graduation he joined Keller, Gaughan, Brodnik and Company in Indianapolis as a staff accountant. In 1978, Ron joined Kemper CPA Group LLP in Connersville, Indiana and moved to Greenfield, Indiana in 1983 to manage the W. L. Blagg CPA practice which was purchased by Kemper CPA Group LLP. He was admitted as a partner of Kemper CPA Group LLP in 1984 and was elected to the Executive Committee of Kemper CPA Group LLP in 1990.
Ron was elected as Managing Partner of Kemper CPA Group LLP in May 2007. In this capacity he is responsible for strategic planning, management of the firm’s resources and for guiding the firm into the future.
